The Education and Skills Funding Agency 16 to 19 tuition fund has been allocated to schools and colleges in 2021/22 to mitigate the disruption to learning arising from coronavirus (COVID-19). The funding is being provided to support small group tuition for 16 to 19 students in academic courses where learning has been disrupted as a result of the pandemic. All supported students must be on a 16 to 19 study programme.

SCGSG will provide support as follows:

(1) Additional 1:1 academic and wellbeing support

(2)  Small group curriculum sessions to consolidate knowledge.

Each session will contain a maximum of five students to ensure that students receive the catch-up support they require to make up for the disruption to their learning and prepare them for the successful completion of their study programme. School is appointing a number of subject specialists as ‘academic tutors’ to deliver the A-Level subject support.
