STEM Ambassador Training
By Mahima, Navreet, Emily, Ammaarah, Maryam, Lucy Year 13
In October this year we were very fortunate to be visited by Liz Smith from the University of Worcester STEM Hub. She provided valuable training for members of the Senior Prefect Team who expressed an interest in becoming STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) Ambassadors. We are very proud to say that all of the applicants succeeded and will be running or assisting with STEM activities throughout the school and maybe even beyond.
Our STEM Ambassadors now join the hundreds of volunteers who work nationally from a wide range of Science, Sechnology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) related jobs and disciplines across the UK. They all offer their time and enthusiasm to help bring STEM subjects to life and demonstrate their value in life and careers. Our STEM Ambassadors are an important and exciting resource for the school, its staff and students in engaging with young people in and outside of the classroom.
