Welcome to Sutton Coldfield Grammar School for Girls. I am delighted to take this opportunity to introduce you to our school.

Established 80 years ago, the school has developed both in size and prestige; today we are a thriving community of just over 1000 students.  Celebrated both for our academic excellence and wider opportunities we pride ourselves on achieving the highest standards, promoted through personal care and encouragement. A friendly atmosphere, a dedicated staff and a rich mix of activities make for a broad and productive education within the school.

At Sutton Coldfield Grammar School for Girls, we are proud of our record of academic excellence within a supportive and welcoming environment.  We encourage each girl to develop a variety of practical skills, an enquiring mind, a range of interests and consideration for others.  We provide an extensive range of opportunities so that our students emerge as thoughtful, caring, confident, lively young adults ready to begin exciting and worthwhile careers.

OFSTED judged us to be outstanding but we are not standing still.  We are building on our achievements. The school has a wonderful tradition and an exciting future as we continue to prepare our girls to meet the challenges of the 21st century with confidence.  Our status as a Specialist Science College and Leadership Partner School ensures momentum in terms of curriculum innovation, community involvement and unique opportunities for our students.
